Puritans wanted to reform and purify the English churches. The dissenters disareed with and official church. They wanted to leave so they could work on their beliefes. They were different because they each wanted different things. The Puritans wanted a better church, and the dissenters didnt.

Both groupos wanted to leave because of reliogious persecutions. the english church didn't agree with them. the differance between the groups was that the puritans wanted to reform and help the English church, and dissenters wanted to seperate completly.

Hello, I received my Bachelor's degree in History from Cedarville University in Ohio and I taught out of state in West Virginia and Florida for four years. I also worked in telecommunications for 4 years. My grandfather and great uncle went to Saltsburg High School in the 1940's. My grandfather still talks about the 1935 flood! As a result of that flood the local dams were built to prevent flooding.
